Easy Protein Assay Reagent for Bradford method
Opis
The Assay Reagent is based on the principle of Bradford method. Proteins bind to Coomassie Brilliant Blue in an acidic solution and absorb the light at 595 nm wavelength. The assay is quick and easy:
1. Mix 0.2 ml of the reagent with 0.020 ml of the protein solution for 96-well plates. For 1 ml cuvettes mix 1 ml of the diluted reagent with 0,1 ml of the protein solution.
2. Read absorbance at 595 nm.
Standard clear 96-well plates or cuvettes can be used for absorbance reading. The reagent is sufficient for 2500 assays (0.2 ml / assay using micro plate) or 500 assays (1 ml / assay using 1 ml-cuvette).
Data analysis
Plot the A595 and the proteinconcentration [Protein] to generate the linear standard curve.
A595 = a [Protein] + b
Where the A595 values are from experimental data, the a and b values are from the linear fitting between the A595 values and the protein concentrations.
Unknown samples
Follow the same procedure to measure the A595 values from the unknown samples. Calculate the protein concentrations in theunknown samples using the A595 values from unknown samples and the a and b values from standard curve.
