Preparation Method
Suspend 30 g of the medium in one liter of distilled or deionized water. Mix well. Heat slowly until the medium is dissolved. Dispense and sterilze at 121 °C (15 lbs. of pressure) for 15 minutes. Sterilize by autoclave.

Tryptic Soy Broth is used for the cultivation of fastidious and non-fastidious microorganisms.Tryptic Soy Broth is a highly nutritive and very versatile medium recommended for general use in the laboratory. The medium promotes abundant growth of fastidious microorganisms without the necessity of adding serum and other materials. It may also be used for the rapid determination of the bacteriological quality of water.
