FASTPROTEIN™ RED

The FastProtein Red Matrix is optimized for the rapid lysis of algae, yeast and fungi. Cells are resuspended in either the provided Yeast Breaking Buffer (YBB) or other expression buffer, then added to the Lysing Matrix C tube (1mm silica beads). After 20-40 seconds processing in a FastPrep® Instrument or equivalent bead-beater, proteins can be extracted from the centrifuged homogenate using a wide variety of methods.

Application Notes

Designed for rapid isolation and purification of protein from yeast, algea and fungi cultures. The process is designed to be a small scale test for protein induction.
