Opis
BlueSafe is a protein stain which consists of a safer alternative to the traditional Coomassie Blue staining for detecting proteins in SDS-PAGE. BlueSafe is a highly sensitive single step protein stain. It is safer than Coomassie Blue staining because does not contain any methanol or acetic acid in its composition.
BlueSafe serves as a one-step sensitive protein stain for detecting proteins post-SDS-PAGE, while also being compatible with mass
spectrophotometry.
Furthermore, it does not require the use of a destaining solution. Simply run a SDS-PAGE, add the stain and watch the bands appear in a few minutes. There is no need to wash or destain and the background is crystal clear. BlueSafe will show low concentration proteins (60 ng) within 10-15 minutes and down to 10 ng within 30-60 minutes. The signal generated by this stain is linear, enabling true semi-quantification of the sample.
